FAQ
Where are you located?
You’ll find us at Booth 801, Oshawa Markets, 555 Simcoe St S, Oshawa, Ontario. We’re a small family-run shop — come say hi, talk plants, and browse in person for the best selection and the best deals.
What are your hours?
The booth is open Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 6pm. Our online store at growproes.ca is open 24/7.
Can you hold a plant for me?
Yes! See something you love on our Instagram or the website? Send us a DM and we’ll set it aside for you to pick up at the booth. Small shop, plants go fast — a hold is the safest way to make sure it’s still there on the weekend.
Where do your plants come from?
We grow plants ourselves and work with trusted Canadian growers to round out the selection, and every plant is checked over at the booth before it goes out for sale. Growing more of our own is the plan, too — our greenhouse is the next big project.
Do you rent equipment?
Yes — we rent out plant-care and trimming equipment, including our SpinPro Personal Plant Trimmer. Rates, deposits and how it works are all on our Equipment Rentals page.
Do you do party favours or event plants?
We do! Custom mini-plant favours for weddings, showers and events — pick a pot, pick a plant, and we’ll help with labels and finishing touches. Details are on our Party Favours page, or ask us at the booth.
What if my plant isn’t happy after I get it home?
Talk to us. Plants are living things and sometimes the first week at home is an adjustment — bring a photo (or the plant) to the booth and we’ll troubleshoot with you and make it right. Most “sick” plants just need a water or light adjustment, and we’d rather help you fix it than have you give up on it.
Do you sell gift cards?
Gift cards make an easy plant-lover gift — ask us at the booth or check the website for current options.
I’m new to plants. What should I start with?
Something forgiving: a pothos, a snake plant, or a ZZ plant. Our Easy-Care Plants collection is a great place to browse, and our Plant Care Guides page covers the basics in plain language.
Are your plants pet-safe?
Some are, some aren’t — it depends on the plant, and we label ours with toxicity info so you can choose with confidence. Shopping with cats or dogs? Start with our Pet-Friendly Plants collection.
