Calathea plants, sometimes referred to as prayer plants because of the way their leaves fold up at night, are non-toxic to both cats and dogs and add a pop of color to your space.

Light: Bright indirect light but can do well with medium light levels, too.
Too much direct light will burn its delicate leaves. And too much light can also fade the colors.

Water: likes its soil to stay evenly moist, so you can water it once the top few inches of soil dries out.
