Description
Alocasia are statement plants with dramatic, sculptural leaves. They appreciate steady warmth and humidity. This one is Alocasia Care.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
Light: Bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning sun is fine; harsh midday sun scorches the leaves.
Care: Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, never soggy. Alocasia sulk if they dry out completely. Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced plant food, and repot one size up when roots crowd the pot.
Size: 1 to 3 feet tall indoors for most varieties; large types can reach 4 to 6 feet.
Toxicity: Toxic if eaten — keep out of reach of pets and small children, and wash your hands after handling cut leaves or sap.
Grown and hand-checked at our booth — Booth 801, Oshawa Markets, open Sat & Sun 10–6. Questions about this plant? Ask us in person or send a DM and we'll help you pick with confidence.
