Butterwort (Pinguicula)

A real carnivorous plant. Butterwort leaves are sticky, and that is the trick: fungus gnats and fruit flies land on them and do not leave. Handy to keep near your other houseplants.

Care: Bright light is best, a sunny window works. Keep the soil moist at all times and water only with distilled or rain water (tap water will hurt it over time). Never fertilize. It forms a flat rosette about 4 to 6 inches across.

Considered non-toxic to people and pets.

Grown and sold by Grow Pro Equipment & Supplies, Booth 801, Oshawa Markets. Open Sat and Sun 10 to 6.
