Calathea and their prayer-plant cousins fold their patterned leaves up at night and open them again each morning. They love humidity. This one is Calathea Vittata 6".

Difficulty: Intermediate.

Light: Medium to bright, indirect light

Care: Water when the top 1" of soil feels dry Non-Toxic Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced plant food, and repot one size up when roots crowd the pot.

Size: 1 to 2 feet tall and wide indoors.

Toxicity: Toxic if eaten — keep out of reach of pets and small children, and wash your hands after handling cut leaves or sap.
