Aglaonema (Chinese evergreen) are loved for their patterned leaves in greens, silvers, pinks and reds, and for how well they handle lower-light rooms. This one is AGLAONEMA EMERALD BEAUTY/MARIA.

Difficulty: Easy.

Light: Low to bright indirect light. Colourful varieties hold their colour best in medium to bright indirect light.

Care: A verage to moist soil. Water when almost dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced plant food, and repot one size up when roots crowd the pot.

Size: Approximately 1-3 feet tall and wide.

Toxicity: Toxic if eaten — keep out of reach of pets and small children, and wash your hands after handling cut leaves or sap.
