The clear balls in Piper Crocatum are a form of exudate, sugar crystals secreted by the plant. These clear balls allow the plant to release excess sugars and attract ants for protection.
LIGHT: Prefers indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight in the morning and afternoons is okay as the light is less harsh.
WATER: If you press your finger about an inch or more into the soil and if it is damp, do not water it. If your finger comes out dry, then it is time to water.
