Description
Philodendron are the backbone of most tropical collections — fast, forgiving, and wildly varied, from velvet leaves to bold splashes of pink and cream. This one is Philodendron Mayagold 4”.
Difficulty: Easy.
Light: Bright, indirect light is best; most types tolerate medium light and just grow slower.
Care: Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. Climbing types size up fastest on a moss pole. Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced plant food, and repot one size up when roots crowd the pot.
Size: Vining types trail or climb 3 to 10 feet; self-heading types reach 2 to 4 feet wide.
Toxicity: Toxic if eaten — keep out of reach of pets and small children, and wash your hands after handling cut leaves or sap.
Grown and hand-checked at our booth — Booth 801, Oshawa Markets, open Sat & Sun 10–6. Questions about this plant? Ask us in person or send a DM and we'll help you pick with confidence.
